Birch Agency is seeking a dedicated and compassionate

Occupational Therapist (OT)

to provide services to students in the

Lancaster, South Carolina

area. This is a full-time school-based opportunity supporting students from

Kindergarten through 12th grade

and helping them develop the skills necessary to participate and succeed in the educational environment.
Position Details

Full-time, school-based opportunity

Serving students in

K-12

Starting pay of $50/hour

Work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, families, and other related service professionals

Provide individualized occupational therapy services based on student needs and IEP goals

Responsibilities

Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and assessments.

Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on students' needs and IEP goals.

Provide direct occupational therapy services to students.

Address fine motor, gross motor, sensory processing, visual-motor, and functional skills as appropriate.

Help students develop skills necessary for classroom participation and independence.

Recommend and implement appropriate accommodations, adaptive equipment, and assistive technology.

Monitor and document student progress toward therapy and IEP goals.

Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

Consult with teachers and families regarding strategies to support students throughout the school day.

Maintain accurate documentation and comply with applicable state and federal regulations.

Qualifications

Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.

Current South Carolina Occupational Therapist license or eligibility to obtain one.

NBCOT certification preferred.

Experience working with children or in a school-based setting is preferred.

Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.

Ability to work effectively with students across a range of ages and support needs.
