Job Description
Responsibilities and duties:
- Design and implement scalable and efficient data storage solutions using Snowflake.
- Write, optimize, and troubleshoot SQL queries within the Snowflake environment.
- Integrate Snowflake with various data sources and third-party tools.
- Ensure data security and compliance with industry standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet data-driven business objectives.
Skills and Qualifications
• 7-8 years of experience in MS SQL server / database technology and at least 5 years of experience in the Snowflake platform
• Proficient in SQL and familiar with ETL processes
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake features like Snowpipe, Dynamic tables, Data Masking, External Tables, Time Travel, Zero-Copy Cloning, etc.
• Develop, implement, and optimize stored procedures and functions
• Experience in performance tuning, optimizing large complicated SQL statements, and cost optimization in the Snowflake platform
• Proficient in handling semi-structured data in Snowflake
• Experience in SSIS package development
• Experience with data modeling, data migration, and cloud computing environments [Azure]
• Proficient understanding of ADO, GIT
• Understanding of data compliance and security best practices
• Ability to translate business needs into technical specifications
• Experience in Snowpark, Python, and ML programming is a plus
• Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
• Team player
