An established and growing heavy civil general contractor is seeking a Project Engineer to join its collaborative team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated early-career professional to gain hands-on experience across highway, roadway, and underground utility projects while working alongside experienced project managers and field leaders.

What You'll Do

• Support the project lifecycle from pre-construction through closeout
• Assist with project scheduling , coordination, and document control
• Collaborate with superintendents, subcontractors, and vendors to keep projects on track
• Maintain strong client relationships and support long-term partnerships
• Help ensure compliance with safety standards (including OSHA)
• Track project progress, costs, and key milestones

✅ What You Bring

• Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 1+ year of experience as a Project Engineer (heavy civil or similar preferred)
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Familiarity with:
  • CPM Scheduling
  • Construction management software (e.g., Hard Dollar, On-Screen Takeoff, Agtek)
  • Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel, Project)

Pay Details: $80,000.00 to $90,000.00 per year
