Veterinary Assistant Opportunity

VCA Aventura Animal Hospital & Pet Resort is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join our dedicated team full-time! We are a busy, supportive, and collaborative hospital that thrives on delivering the highest standard of patient care.

Schedule: Full-time (3540 hours/week) with rotating weekends.

Responsibilities Include:

• Assisting veterinarians and technicians during exams, treatments, and procedures
• Safely restraining animals for exams and treatments
• Taking vital signs and collecting patient histories
• Administering medications (under supervision)
• Cleaning and maintaining exam rooms, surgical suites, and equipment
• Providing compassionate care and support to clients and patients
• Maintaining accurate patient records and assisting with inventory
• Supporting the hospital team in daily operations and patient flow

What We're Looking For:

• 1+ years of experience in a veterinary, animal care, or pet boarding environment preferred
• Comfortable with animal handling and restraint
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A positive attitude and a desire to grow within the veterinary field
• High school diploma or equivalent
