The Packer is responsible for accurately packing, labeling, and preparing merchandise for shipment while maintaining quality, safety, and productivity standards. This role supports warehouse and distribution operations by ensuring products are handled efficiently and orders are completed correctly to meet customer and store delivery schedules.

Key Responsibilities

• Pack products securely according to company standards to prevent damage during shipping.
• Label cartons and pallets with the appropriate shipping information.
• Inspect merchandise for defects or damage before packing.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow all company safety policies and warehouse procedures.
• Meet daily productivity and quality performance goals.
• Assist with sorting, staging, and preparing shipments as needed.
• Report inventory discrepancies, damaged merchandise, or equipment issues to supervisors.
• Work collaboratively with team members to ensure timely order fulfillment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous warehouse, packing, or distribution experience is preferred but not required.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Basic math and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
• Frequently lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) or RF scanners.
• Strong work ethic and reliability.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and production demands.

Work Environment

• Fast-paced warehouse or distribution center.
• May require overtime, weekends, or holidays based on business needs.
