Patient Access Rep - Per Diem

Patient Access Representatives are the first people to meet and greet patients, serving as the “Face” of the hospital. They present a welcoming demeanor, ensure accurate patient registration, process patient payments, handle inquiries, and refer to appropriate Patient Account Representatives. They also perform daily cash receipt deposit functions. Responsibilities Maintain patient registration information completeness and accuracy at a target of 95%. Support customer satisfaction initiatives as defined in the annual work plan. Facilitate Time of Service (TOS) collection per hospital and department policy, meeting all TOS standards. Attend all required safety training programs and describe responsibilities related to general safety, department/service safety, and job‑related hazards. Follow hospital exposure control plans for bloodborne and airborne pathogens. Demonstrate respect and regard for the dignity of patients, families, visitors, and fellow employees, ensuring a professional and courteous environment. EEO Statement EEO/AA/Disability/Veteran Qualifications Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. required. B.S./B.A. or A.A. degree, or some college preferred. Experience: Experience in a professional setting with customer service responsibility preferred. Licensure: A.A.H.A.M. Certification as Certified Patient Accounts Technician (C.P.A.T.) preferred; continuous demonstration of team orientation and customer focused behaviors.
