Job Title: Cath Lab Technologist

Certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), Certified Radiologic Technologist - ARRT


Must-Have:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Cath Lab
- Familiarity with IABP and IVUS


Description:
This position requires a Cath Lab Technologist to support procedures in the cath lab and hybrid operating room.


The role will involve working with interventional cardiology, STEMI, and peripheral device implants.


Scrubbing and circulation/monitoring of cases will be required.


The unit has 7 suites and 2 cath labs with 2 bays and 5 rooms and operates with an average of 4-5 cases per day.


The EMR system used is EPIC.


Shift includes 10 hour days, with 10-11 on-call shifts per month, including weekends.


Call requirements involve response time Monday through Friday from 1530 to 0700.


Weekend requirements apply for the team as well.


The team consists of 3 members: 2 RNs and 1 technologist for each case.


Common procedures include cardiac catheterization, peripheral interventions, and device implants for adults.


Previous experience with an automatic injector is a plus but will provide training if necessary.


Pharmacy support is available 24/7 for medications used in procedures.


All team members are required to adhere to COVID vaccination policies, with exemptions available for valid medical or religious reasons.


Scrubs are provided for the staff in designated colors.


Transport and emergency support is coordinated as required within the department.


Collaboration with the cardiovascular team for procedures and patient care is essential.


This role is positioned in an acute care setting.
