Please click here to learn more about our locations.Job DescriptionThe Respiratory Services Manager at Shriners Children's Chicago provides leadership, direction, and oversight for all respiratory care services, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care for pediatric patients with complex respiratory needs. This role focuses on clinical excellence, operational efficiency, and staff development within a specialized pediatric hospital setting.Key ResponsibilitiesInterviews, hires, and recommends termination of employees in accordance with Human Resources policies and procedures and in consultation with the DirectorCommunicates job duties to staff in a clear, understandable, and concise manner; plans, directs, and supervises work of assigned staff utilizing positive communications and effective problem solving skillsEvaluates department staffing/scheduling requirements, taking into account requests for holiday/vacation time; recommends appropriate use of per diem staffCommunicates in an appropriate and timely manner with Director; seeks input, provides accurate information and makes recommendations for policy and/or practice changeMonitors appropriate quality indicators; identifies real problems and issuesKeeps informed of recent developments and trends in the fieldEnsures patient care equipment is not responsible for any hazard or injury to a patient or staff through ongoing preventative maintenance as outlined by policies and proceduresRequired Qualifications3 years Pediatric Critical CareKnowledge of Respiratory Care Practice GuidelinesNational Board for Respiratory CareRT License in state of practiceBasic Life Support (BLS)Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)Preferred QualificationsAssociate Respiratory TherapyCertificate Respiratory TherapyCompensation is determined based on years of relevant experience and departmental equity. #J-18808-Ljbffr
