Job Summary The University of Michigan, Department of Neurosurgery is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Research Assistant to the study of hemorrhagic stroke and neurosurgical diseases. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in clinical research while contributing to meaningful advances in Neurosurgery. Responsibilities*

- Assist with the design and implementation of research protocols under the supervisor of the principal investigator.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of all research activities, including data entry and database management.
- Assist with data analysis using statistical software and contribute to the preparation of reports, abstracts and manuscripts.
- Coordinate and schedule study-related activities and follow-ups with participants and clinical staff.
- Participate in regular team meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and upcoming tasks.
- Bachelor's degree in related field (e.g., biology neuroscience, psychology, biomedical engineering, public health).
- Prior research experience, particularly in a clinical setting, is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and familiarity with data analysis software (e.g. SPSS, R) is desirable.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a research team.
- Commitment to upholding ethical standards and confidentiality requirements.
- Basic understanding of statistical methods and research design.
