IT Business Analyst - Cybersecurity & Recovery

Location & Work Arrangement:

• Location: Spartanburg, SC

• Work Arrangement: 100% Onsite (with light local travel throughout Spartanburg County)

Role Overview

Join an enterprise IT team to lead discovery and analysis for a critical Cybersecurity Program & Documentation Recovery initiative. You will extract institutional knowledge, map complex IT processes, and eliminate single points of operational failure.

Core Responsibilities

• Lead discovery sessions and workshops with technical SMEs (infrastructure, security, applications).

• Map current-state workflows, dependencies, and handoffs using Microsoft Visio .

• Build structured inputs for technical writers, SOPs, runbooks, and disaster recovery plans.

• Identify documentation gaps, operational risks, and process bottlenecks.

Key Required Skills & Qualifications

• 10+ Years Experience: Proven business analysis track record in complex IT environments.

• Elicitation & Facilitation: Expertise in extracting complex technical knowledge from SMEs.

• Visio & M365 Mastery: Advanced workflow mapping in MS Visio and deep proficiency in SharePoint, Teams, and Excel.

• Work Portfolio (Mandatory): Candidates must provide sanitized deliverables (process maps, workflow diagrams, requirements docs, or matrices).

• Education: Bachelor's degree in IT/Business or equivalent hands-on experience.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with disaster recovery, IT operational maturity, or knowledge management.

• Familiarity with ITIL, NIST, or CIS frameworks.

• Government or highly regulated industry experience.

• Industry certifications: CBAP, PMI-PBA, PMP, or ITIL Foundation .

Interview Process

1. Portfolio & Resume Review: Technical screening of sanitized deliverables and prior work.

2. Panel Interview: Single-round interview with IT Leadership and Subject-Matter Experts.
