Maintenance Technician

The maintenance technician is responsible for keeping a facility operating and repairing any problems when they are discovered before they have a chance to worsen. This position directly reports to plant manager/VP operations.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Knowledge of hydraulic and electric trouble shoot
• Basic knowledge of plastic processing.
• Troubleshoot problems with injection molding machines and their auxiliary equipment.
• Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and other repairs as needed.
• Operate forklift as needed.
• Oversee the preventative maintenance for plant equipment.
• Perform any other assignments given by his/her supervisor.
• Perform preventive maintenance for every start up job or every day (check all auxiliary equipment, material dryer and machine

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Knowledge of an injection molding plant.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience repairing injection molding machinery and associated auxiliary equipment.
• Basic math skills and basic understanding of the English language.

Physical Requirements:

• Sit, stand, and walk for long period of time.
• Lift up to 25 Ibs and good hand-eye coordination.
• Must be able to talk, listen, and speak clearly
