Maintenance Technician

CVG Properties is looking for a skilled, customer service-oriented Maintenance Technician to join our Dallas Team at The Mark at Midtown a modern 274-Unit Midrise community in Dallas, Tx.

As the lead Maintenance Technician, you will work closely with the Community Manager and Maintenance Supervisor to perform all day-to-day maintenance operations while providing exceptional customer service to our valued residents. The ideal candidate will have multifamily experience in all trades and be very customer service focused. In addition to completing apartment turnovers and maintenance service requests, regular duties can include appliance and HVAC repair, painting, pool maintenance, cleaning grounds and common area amenities.

Who You Are

An experienced Maintenance Technician who understands, or can see the value, benefit, and stability of working directly with an owner/operator to proactively manage the maintenance efforts on our communities, wants to have your voice heard, and has a desire to help shape the direction and success of both our communities and the company.

What You'll Do

You'll set the standard for maintenance quality and the condition of every community you service. Day to day, that means:

• Assisting in the scheduling and maintenance activities on your community, helping set the standard for quality and responsiveness.
• Assisting in the oversight and execution of work orders and service requests, ensuring timely, high-quality resolution.
• Managing unit turns to keep make-readies on schedule and on standard.
• Performing repairs across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, appliances, carpentry, and flooring.
• Daily inspection of the community grounds, buildings, and common area amenities to maintain safety and cleanliness standards and to identify issues requiring maintenance, repair or replacement.
• Helping coordinate vendors and contractors and and in the management of the maintenance budget and inventory.
• Promoting customer satisfaction by maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and curb appeal and interacting courteously and professionally with current and potential customers at all times.
• Conducting pre-move-in and post-move-out apartment inspections and ensuring timely completion of quality unit turns.
• Assist in the execution of our preventative maintenance program - pool, lighting, sprinklers, exteriors, and more.
• Working with the other Maintenance Team members in the on-call rotation and responding to after-hours and emergencies when on duty.

What You Bring

• 2+ years of multifamily maintenance experience, including lead or supervisory responsibilities.
• Strong skills across electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC; EPA/HVAC certification preferred.
• Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification a plus.
• A positive, service-first attitude and pride in your work.
• Reliable transportation to travel between communities.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of building codes, pool logs, and safety requirements.
• Comfort with property management software and technology - Microsoft Outlook, Teams, and Yardi experience is a plus.
• A valid driver's license, clean driving record, and current auto insurance.
• Availability to share in the on-call rotation and respond to emergencies, including some evenings and weekends.

Salary range (hourly): $25/hour - $29+/hour depending on experience .
