RTL Design Engineer - Memory Controller

Built upon the open AMBA interface standard, Arm System IP provides design teams with the foundation for building better systems.Responsibilities:As an RTL Design Engineer, you would responsible for one or more functional units of the Memory Controller while working closely with performance modeling, validation, and implementation teams to meet all functional requirements and performance, power, area (PPA) goals.Development of high-level specifications and requirements for Memory Controller productsDefine and author specifications for detailed micro-architecture plansDevelopment and implementation of SystemVerilog RTL logic design for sophisticated blocks and functions within the designCollaborate with key partners on the design and verification teams to close on functional and coverage requirementsDebug functional and/or performance issues within the RTL using modern simulation and debug toolsRequired Skills & Experience :Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or Electrical/Computer Engineering with 5+ years work experience in microprocessor, SoC, memory controller and/or interconnect IP designPrior RTL design experience is required.Knowledge of DRAM specification (e.g., LPDDR5, LPDDR6, DDR5, DDR6, HBM3/4) and of bus protocols (e.g., AMBA5 CHI, AMBA4 ACE or AXI)Experience with Verilog or VHDL, coupled with design synthesis targeted to achieve specified frequency, power, and area targetsExperience with tools for RTL design quality checks (e.g Lint, CDC, Power, Synthesis)“Nice To Have” Skills & Experience:Prior Memory Controller RTL Design experiencePrior verification or CAD experience is a plusExperience with CPU or compute subsystem memory micro-architectureProcessor system knowledge including basic understanding of SoC systems as well as operating system softwareIn Return:We offer a hybrid approach to home and office working to provide an adaptable experience for all employees.
