We are looking for a Senior Linux Administrator to join our team to support the IFMC Program Office, AMD Mission Command Product Office.SPA is seeking a Senior Linux Administrator. The Senior Linux Administrator will provide support to the Tactical Innovation and Experimentation Lab (TIEL) for the upkeep, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems. The selected candidate will work directly with end customers to meet their needs while ensuring the performance and security of the computer system. Responsibilities Responsibilities include analyzing system logs and identifying potential issues with computer systems, applying operating system updates, patches, and configuration changes, installing and configuring new hardware and software, and adding, removing, or updating user account information, including resetting passwords. Additional duties involve managing system security, documenting system configurations, troubleshooting anomalies, training personnel on the use of the system, and supporting Approval to Operate (ATO) requirements. Qualifications At a minimum you should have:A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, electronics engineering, or computer engineering8+ years of experience as a Systems Administrator5+ years of experience configuring, administering, and maintaining Linux computer systemsCurrent Security+ and either Linux+ or RedHat certificationsRed Hat Enterprise Linux 7, 8, 9 and/or 10 experienceExperience in configuration and management of physical and/or virtual machine environmentsBasic network knowledgeAbility to work in a rapidly changing customer environment in a closed labMust be a team player and work in a collaborative team environmentExcellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues quicklyStrong work ethicA focus on the needs of the customer and the teamAn active SECRET security clearance and the ability to maintain it throughout employmentYou will be highly desirable if you have:Windows workstation and server experienceActive Directory experienceExperience with OpenShiftExperience with Ansible AutomationExperience with DoD security compliance (NIST 800-171, CMMC, DISA STIGs)Experience in scripting languagesExperience in Layer 2/Layer 3 switching/routing, management of Cisco devices, and working knowledge of firewall technologiesExperience supporting RMF security plans, procedures, and complianceExperience with any of the following: HPE/Synergy,Synology,NetApp,VEEAM, GitlabJob SummaryID: 2026-23067Category: Cybersecurity & IT SolutionsSecurity Clearance Requirement: SecretType: Regular Full-TimeLevel: Senior
