Job Summary: Manufacturing Technician 2 (Contract) Austin, TX

About the Role
Join a world-class Genetic Sciences Division (GSD) team in Austin, TX as a Manufacturing Technician 2. Play a hands-on role in kitting and packaging critical scientific products. Work weekdays with overtime opportunities in a dynamic, clean manufacturing environment that values precision, safety, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

- Assemble, fill, cap, and label vials, bottles, and tubes to exacting standards
- Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols and personal protective equipment at all times
- Operate manual and semi-automated equipment for kitting and packaging
- Complete assignments with accuracy, meeting daily production goals
- Perform preventative maintenance and routine checks on production equipment
- Communicate effectively with team members and internal stakeholders
- Identify and address deviations from standard processes to ensure quality
- Participate in individual training sessions to reach proficiency quickly
- Maintain strong attendance and punctuality

Required Skills and Experience

- 2-5 years of kitting and packaging experience in manufacturing
- High school diploma or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated ability to follow established procedures and schedules
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Able to lift and move objects up to 50 lbs as needed
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting

Preferred Skills

- Previous experience in life sciences manufacturing
- Familiarity with ISO and regulatory standards
- Experience working in cleanroom environments
