Radiologic Technologist

Mercy is seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to perform high-quality diagnostic imaging exams for patients in our Healthcare & Medical Services department. In this role, you will position patients, operate radiographic equipment, follow ALARA and safety protocols, and collaborate closely with radiologists, nurses, and other caregivers to support timely, accurate diagnoses. You will document exams in EMR/PACS systems, uphold infection control standards, and contribute to a compassionate, patient-centered environment that reflects Mercy’s mission and culture of respect, diversity, innovation, and continuous learning. Responsibilities Perform high-quality diagnostic radiologic exams following physician orders and Mercy protocols Ensure patient safety, comfort, and accurate positioning while explaining procedures clearly Apply radiation safety standards and maintain compliance with regulatory and Mercy policies Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and care teams to support timely, accurate diagnoses Verify orders, document exams in EMR, and manage images within PACS/RIS systems Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment, reporting issues promptly Follow infection prevention and room turnover procedures between patients Support a culture of compassion, respect, and diversity in all patient interactions Participate in ongoing education, competencies, and departmental quality initiatives Assist with training and mentoring new staff and students as needed Radiographic imaging procedures Patient positioning and safety Radiation protection and ALARA principles Operation of X-ray/fluoroscopy equipment Digital PACS and RIS use Contrast administration support Infection control and aseptic technique EMR documentation Basic life support (BLS) Quality control and equipment checks Benefits Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Qualifications Current ARRT (R) certification or registry-eligible with completion within specified timeframe State radiologic technologist license (if required by state) Current BLS certification Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program #J-18808-Ljbffr
