About the UPMC Pain Medicine Division The UPMC Division of Pain Medicine is a program of comprehensive research, clinical, and educational components committed to the evaluation and treatment of the entire range of pain, disability, and rehabilitation concerns. The division offers an interdisciplinary team approach that includes dedicated professionals from several different specialties, including medicine, nursing, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and psychology. This multidimensional treatment approach addresses the complex interaction between biological, psychological, and social factors in the perception and management of pain.
