Litigation Legal Assistant

LHH is partnering with a respected law firm in Orlando to hire a Legal Assistant with insurance defense experience. This role offers the opportunity to support a busy litigation team in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and comfortable managing multiple priorities while supporting attorneys with litigation matters.

Responsibilities:

• Provide administrative and litigation support to attorneys handling insurance defense matters
• Draft, revise, and file legal documents including pleadings, motions, and discovery
• Manage court filings and e-filing processes in Florida state courts
• Maintain case calendars and track deadlines, hearings, and depositions
• Coordinate depositions, mediations, and client meetings
• Organize and maintain case files (electronic and physical)
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel as needed
• Assist with trial preparation and document management

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2+ years of litigation legal assistant experience required
• Insurance defense experience is a must
• Knowledge of litigation processes and court procedures
• Experience with e-filing in Florida courts
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
