Registered Nurse (RN) - PACU/Preop
We are seeking a qualified Registered Nurse (RN) with experience in PACU and Preop to join our team. This position is essential for providing care in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) and assisting with preoperative procedures.
Position Information
- Specialty: PACU / Preop
- Number of Openings: 1
- Shift: Days, with some call on nights and weekends
- Weekly Guaranteed Hours: Approximately 40 hours
- Call Requirements: Must be able to report to work within 30 minutes of notification for a case
Unit Information
- Number of Beds: 3
- Patient Ratios: 1:1 or 1:2
- Electronic Health Record (EHR): CQI, Medhost
- Patient Population: Primarily adult patients, with some pediatric cases (ENT performed monthly)
Qualifications
- Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS
- Years of Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a similar role
- Must Have Skills/Experience: Prior PACU experience
- Preferred Skills/Experience: Experience in Preop and PACU
Additional Information
- Common Diagnoses/Treatments: Appendectomy, Gallbladder surgery
- Personality Fit: Team-oriented and adaptable
- Dress Code: Professional scrubs. Unacceptable attire includes open-toed shoes and artificial fingernails.
