Position Summary:

The Merchandiser will be responsible for the handling of merchandise in customer’s stores.

The individual must live in the Columbus, OH area, and must be able to travel between different locations. Overnights sometimes needed.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: .

• Maintain set-up, plan-o-gram execution, as well as the stocking, fronting, facing, and rotating of products
• Cover Sales Reps Vacation: write Store Orders, Credit Damages and any other Issues.
• Provide merchandise service to retailers
• Assist sales representatives in maintaining good working relationships with retailers
• Assist in maintaining good working relationships with internal sales department (helping to ensure good communications between sales and retailers)
• Responsible to display merchandise appropriately with proper signage and favorable shelf placement
• Arrive at Work Location Safely, on time and with all necessary requirements
• Responsible to ensure proper level of stock at all times in retailer stores
• .May require overnights

EDUCATION AND SKILLS NECESSARY TO PERFORM THIS JOB FUNCTION:

• High school graduate or GED
• Minimum of 3 months related experience / and or training
• Mathematical skills of being able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
• Excellent reasoning ability to apply common sense to carry out all instructions

NECESSARY EQUIPMENT SKILLS TO PERFORM THIS JOB FUNCTION:

• Able to operate a computer tablet
• Able to drive an automobile safely (proven safety record in auto use)
• Ability to utilize a computer system(s) for emails, faxes, scanners, phones, etc.

PHYSICAL ABILITY NECESSARY TO PREFORM THIS JOB FUNCTION :

• Must be in good physical shape with high stamina and dexterity
• Able to drive long distance in an automobile
• Able to lift 50+ pounds
• Good hand dexterity with both hands
• Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time
• Able to bend and stoop and reach above head easily
• Excellent eye sight with good peripheral vision
• Able to work long hours and overtime when necessary

• Responsible to be educated and knowledgeable in safety work regulations and to work safely at all times
