We're looking for an enthusiastic Mental Health Technician to join our amazing team on the Mental Health Unit!As a Mental Health Technician, you'll be working hand-in-hand with our Licensed Nursing Staff, providing patient care and helping create a therapeutic space where people can thrive. Whether you're assisting with daily activities or providing a listening ear, you'll be making a real impact every single day.What You'll Be Doing:Helping patients with daily activities and providing direct care under the supervision of our awesome nursing teamKeeping the environment supportive, safe, and positive for everyoneTaking on a variety of duties (from clerical tasks to helping in a clinical setting) – no two days are the same!Using your skills and compassion to help patients feel at ease and supportedMinimum Requirements:High school diploma or equivalentMust obtain BCLS certification within 120 days of hire (and keep it current for continued employment)Clearance through the Family Care RegistryCompletion of training as directed through orientation and/or by Leadership, Management, or Educators in the established timelineDepartment orientation with classroom and clinical training equivalent to Unlicensed Assistive Personnel (UAP) regulations—or meet specific background criteria as listed below:Unlicensed Assistive Personnel training requirements can be waived if the employee demonstrates competency in required content areas.Must meet one of the following:Enrolled in a professional or practical nursing program and completed a fundamentals of nursing courseWas a nursing licensure candidate who failed to pass the state licensure exam in the past 3 yearsCertified as a nursing assistant per state regulationCertified or trained in UAP curriculumHas documented experience as a nurse assistant, EMT, or surgical technician in the past 3 yearsCompleted UAP training in Missouri within the last 3 yearsCompleted a professional or practical nursing program outside the U.S. and awaiting licensure in this countryUAPs from staffing agencies must comply with training requirementsPreferred Qualifications:Experience in patient care, including assistance with activities of daily living (ambulation, feeding, etc.)Previous mental health experienceBCLS certificationWhy You'll Love Working With Us:A supportive, fun, and collaborative teamOpportunities for career growth and developmentA positive and welcoming work environment where you can truly make a difference!If you're ready to provide compassionate care and be part of a dynamic team, we want to hear from you!
