Growing together.Patient Care Coordinator II functions as an integral member of the team and is the first point of contact for all people inquiring about the provider's practice. The primary role is to organize the practice's daily activities and paperwork. The Patient Care Coordinator IIis responsible for the completion of set processes and protocols. Works cooperatively with all members of the care team to support the vision and mission of the organization, deliver excellent customer service and adhere to Lean processes. Supports the teams in meeting financial, clinical and service goalsWorking Hours: Monday - Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pmLocation904 7th Avenue, Third Floor (OBGYN Office) Seattle, WA 98104Primary Responsibilities:Exhibits empathy, courtesy, competence, efficiency, and careSchedules appointments and procedures, following standard guidelinesUses multiple computer and phone systems to fulfill patient needs over the phoneVerifies patient information, while documenting in their Electronic Health Record (EPIC)Advises patients of their responsibilities regarding insurance and referral informationGreet customers into the practice and provide instruction and/or direction as necessary on the phoneSchedule and coordinate all patient appointments as directedAssists patients with signing in and completing registrationAnswers incoming phone calls in a courteous and prompt manner; directs calls and takes messagesCollecting co-pays and past due balances aligning with Optum payment policiesAbility to maintain a work queue list- complete any pending actions ie referrals, scheduling appointmentsCheck In and Check Out patientsPrepare all documentation and records with accuracy as directed or necessary for the patient's careMeet or exceed the performance measures established by the Practice Management DepartmentFollow establish policy and procedures related to the positionParticipate and contribute to a team-based environmentMaintain a team supportive attendance recordUnderstand and deliver quality customer service that is consistent with the Polyclinic's efforts in becoming a High-Performance OrganizationFollow OSHA/WISHA (including usage of PPE) guidelinesFollow HIPAA regulationsAll employees are expected to keep abreast on current medical requirements relevant to their position, which includes maintaining patient confidentiality and abiding by all HIPAA and OSHA requirements Adapt and perform effectively in a continuously changing environment, and in occasional difficult situationsPerforms other duties as assignedWhat are the reasons to consider working for UnitedHealth Group? The hourly pay for this role will range from $17.98 to $32.12 per hour based on full-time employment.
