TSA OSH Specialist -Northeast Region (Telework) with Security Clearance

Overview TSA OSH Specialist - Northeast Region (Telework). R&K Enterprise Solutions, Inc. R&K has the opportunity to provide OSH Specialist support for Transportation Security Administrations (TSA) Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Program under the Occupational Safety, Health, and Environment Division (OSHE). R&K is seeking a Full-Time OSH Specialist for the Northeast Region. Locations: Northeast Region (MI, IN, KY, OH, WV, PA, MD, NJ, RI, DE, NY, CT, VT, NH, MA, ME). Candidates must be able to travel to major hub airports in the Region. Start Date: Anticipated start date is August 15, 2026 contingent on contract award. Responsibilities Plan, organize, schedule, implement, control, analyze, and report on all elements of the OSH support services contract. Ensure resources and authority to support efficient and timely program execution and deliver high-quality deliverables. Provide professional OSH support and outreach to assist TSA establishments with local implementation of the OSH program and ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and DHS and TSA safety policies. Formal annual safety and health inspections of TSA workplaces, captured in a written report and uploaded in OSH's Safety Information System (SIS), identifying potential OSH hazards, regulatory violations, and recommendations for corrective actions in accordance with regulatory requirements. Investigate and track corrective actions resulting from employee notices of unsafe or unhealthful conditions, formal and informal OSH inspections, Baseline Hazard Analyses (BHA), Job Hazard Analyses (JHA), and special assessments. Collaborate with local leaders, designated occupational safety and health officials (DOSHO), OSH Specialists, Collateral Duty Safety Officers (CDSOs), and Safety Action Teams (SATs) to abate findings and serve as OSHA POC during inspections, including communication of abatement actions to OSH Branch staff for closure purposes. Investigate and track corrective actions resulting from employee injuries, illnesses, and damage to motor vehicles, equipment, or facilities, and identify causal and contributing factors to the Regional OSH Manager to prevent future occurrences. Conduct ergonomic, industrial hygiene, indoor air quality, and other specialized studies of workplace safety and health issues at TSA worksites and workplaces. Document, manage, analyze, and communicate OSH activities in SIS, including job hazard analyses; formal annual OSH inspection reports; specialized studies or assessments; OSHA compliance audits; injuries, illnesses, damage to property, equipment, or facilities; abatement strategies; and corrective actions. Ensure 100% Quality Assessments (QA) of accurate and detailed information are entered into SIS, with follow-up communication to local OSH teams to correct QA findings and communicate trends and SIS improvements to Regional OSH Managers. Collaborate with OSH Regional Managers to support the OSH evaluation program through injury rate reduction goals (e.g., Lost Time Case Rate, Total Case Rate, Days Away Restricted or Transferred Rate) using Safety Scorecards, Safety Performance Reports, local OSH program service plans, self-evaluation tools, and routine teleconferences to ensure local program continual improvement. Assist TSA OSH in reviewing existing trends and metrics when developing communications as subject matter experts, including OSH guidance documents, web-based OSH content, TSA News applications, safety bulletins, OSH-related videos, and administration of an OSH SharePoint portal for OSH information communication. Qualifications Two (2) years or more of Occupational Health & Safety experience. Professional certification (i.e., Certified Industrial Hygienist or Certified Safety Professional) is desired. Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety is highly desirable.
