School Bus Driver Opportunity

Total Talent Solutions is now hiring school bus drivers – direct hire opportunity! Location: Hopewell, VA Pay rate: $22.34 per hour $1,500 sign-on bonus ($500 paid at time of hire + remaining $1,000 paid out at 6 months) Schedule: Monday – Friday; 6-hour days guaranteed (typically 6 AM – 9 AM and 2 PM – 5 PM)

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with passenger and school bus endorsements
• Good driving record and strong commitment to safety
• Knowledge of vehicle handling, traffic safety rules, and road systems
• Basic knowledge of first aid and CPR
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage groups of students and maintain safe bus behavior
• Patience and professionalism when working with children and young adults

Job duties:

• Safely operate a school bus or school vehicle on assigned routes
• Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and school transportation guidelines
• Maintain appropriate student behavior and safety during transport
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff
• Complete required reports, forms, and route documentation
• Conduct routine vehicle safety checks before and after routes
• Respond appropriately to student needs and maintain a calm, professional environment
