SUMMARY AND SCOPE OF THE POSITION: The Retail Supervisor is an entry-level manager who has authority over Retail Budtenders and their day-to-day performance. The Retail Supervisor's job is to give instructions to Retail Budtenders and take responsibility for their progress. They are responsible for the entire retail department and shifts. Retail Supervisors help ensure maximum productivity from the employees they manage as well as assist with managing employee schedules and employee payroll. Retail Supervisors oversee employee performance issues and discipline. Retail Supervisors ensure the store operates safely for the customers. In interacting with customers, the Retail Supervisor will usually deal with customer complaints and other feedback, have communication with vendors, and manage loss prevention. Additional Supervisor roles may include the opening and closing of the store, supervising the stocking of shelves, and ensuring the store is presentable and clean for shoppers. The Supervisors oversee coworkers; ensuring they comply with company policies, safety policies, and compliance regulations.PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Keeping up with communication and knowledge posted on SlackManaging the workflow of their employees, creating team schedules, and delegating tasksAssessing the work performance of their employees and identifying areas that need improvementEnsuring that business goals, deadlines, and performance standards are metCommunicating with retail staff to maintain traffic flow, minimize wait times, and maximize customer sales and satisfactionAssist with the training new hires to make sure they understand their rolesMaintain inventory of supplies and request orders as neededAssist in inventory tasks as delegated by Inventory ManagerClean the store and ensure products are properly displayed at all timesMaintain the organization of sales stations and dispensary through daily upkeepAdvise customers concerning particular products or servicesMonitoring attendance, tardiness, and time offHandling customer issues and managing conflictsAdhering to company policies and health, safety, and employment standardsSupervising employees and assisting with tasks as necessaryAll other duties as assignedThe duties and responsibilities described above may provide only a partial description of this position.
