Designation: Data Engineer (Snowflake & Azure)

Key Responsibilities

Data Engineering & Platform Development

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data solutions on Snowflake within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem.
• Build and optimize high-performance data pipelines for large-scale data ingestion, transformation, and delivery across data lakes, data warehouses, and real-time data platforms.
• Develop and implement reusable frameworks and best practices for data ingestion, data modeling, and data delivery using Snowflake, Azure Data Services, dbt, and Matillion.
• Support enterprise data architecture initiatives by translating business requirements into reliable, scalable, and maintainable data engineering solutions.
• Ensure data quality, performance, governance, and security across all data assets and platforms.
• Collaborate with architects, business stakeholders, and analytics teams to support evolving data requirements, including initiatives related to mergers and acquisitions (M&A).
• Contribute to enterprise master data management and real-time integration efforts.

Business Intelligence & Analytics Support

• Develop and maintain data models and curated datasets that enable enterprise reporting and analytics.
• Support Power BI reporting environments by creating optimized data structures, semantic models, and governed datasets.
• Implement BI best practices, including data security, row-level security, version control, workspace management, and performance optimization.
• Enable real-time and near-real-time analytics capabilities through modern data engineering practices.

Data Integration & M&A Support

• Develop and support data integration solutions across multiple ERP and enterprise systems.
• Participate in technical assessments, data mapping, and onboarding activities for newly acquired companies.
• Integrate disparate data sources into a unified enterprise data platform.
• Evaluate existing data warehouses, data lakes, and ETL/ELT processes to identify opportunities for optimization, standardization, and consolidation.
• Support enterprise-wide data modernization and cloud migration initiatives.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake Data Cloud
• Expertise in Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS), Azure Synapse, and Azure ecosystem
• Experience with dbt and Matillion
• Strong SQL and data modeling skills
• Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines and data integration solutions
• Knowledge of data warehousing, data lakes, and modern cloud data architectures
• Experience supporting Power BI reporting and analytics environments
• Strong understanding of data governance, security, and performance optimization
• Experience working in enterprise environments with multiple source systems and ERP platforms
• Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills
