Warehouse Associate

Our client, a leader in the transportation and logistics industry, is seeking Warehouse Associates to join their team. As a Warehouse Associate, you will be part of the Industrial department supporting the shipping and receiving operations. The ideal candidate will have strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Warehouse Associate

Location: Richmond, VA

Pay Range: $17.00/hour

Shift: Monday-Friday 7:00AM-3:30PM (potential Saturday - must be available to work OT)
Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday 6:00pm-12:00AM

What's the Job?

• Assist with shipping and receiving activities, including unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, matching purchase orders to sales orders, and distributing orders to sales associates for processing
• Read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, and requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, distributed, and/or shipped
• Ensure warehouse is accessible and safe for employee and customer traffic
• Complete work in a safe manner by adhering to all safety policies and procedures
• Participate in inventory counts and assemble products as needed

What's Needed?

• Minimum of 6 months of experience in a warehouse or dock environment required
• High School diploma or GED required
• Basic written and verbal communication skills
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to lift, push, or pull at least 75 pounds and load/unload trucks
• Job requires a pre-employment drug and background
  screening
