SPEECH LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST – SCHOOL AGE PROGRAM Full‑Time, Salary $65,000 – $75,000/year About Brightway Living & Learning Brightway Living & Learning is a premier non‑profit provider of human services on Long Island, including educational, residential, day habilitation, and vocational programs. Shifts Monday – Friday, 8 am – 3 pm (32.5 hours per week) The Role Speech Language Pathologists in the School Age Program are creative, energetic, career‑oriented teaching professionals who are motivated to provide speech/language therapy to the people Brightway Living & Learning supports in a classroom setting. Our school programs operate on a 12‑month calendar. This is a great opportunity to gain experience and knowledge working in a classroom and community setting following the principles of applied behavior analysis. What You Bring Master’s Degree in Speech/Language Pathology NYSED licensure in Speech/Language Pathology TSHH/TSSLD certification Experience working with children with disabilities Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills What You’ll Do Evaluate, assess, and screen clients using appropriate standardized testing and clinical observational skills Provide speech/language therapy according to mandated paperwork (IEPs, IFSPs, etc.) Provide required documentation for services that the program and/or supervisor have outlined Maintain documentation in a professional, efficient, accountable, and confidential manner Attend all meetings as scheduled and collaborate with other professionals, staff, and families Maintain and update professional knowledge, skills and abilities through continuing education, in‑service training or higher education Other duties as assigned What You Must Be Able To Do Modify the area to secure the safety of the children (move/push tables and other heavy objects up to 20 lb.) Lift/move 20 lb.
