Assistance with relocation available.The Manager serves as the bridge between the Partner, the client, and the professional team. Responsibilities include overseeing multiple auditing and accounting projects and client engagements, as well as managing engagement workflow, staffing, and scheduling. Managers also focus on staff development and business development initiatives for the Firm. Client relationship maintenance is a key aspect of the Manager's role.ResponsibilitiesManage all phases of audit or review engagements across multiple projectsMaintain regular communication with clients to understand their operations and control systems, building strong relationshipsKeep engagement Director or Partner informed of important client developments and recommend solutions for potential issuesDemonstrate technical proficiency, high work quality, and adherence to professional and Firm standardsEnsure proper scheduling of engagementsUnderstand and apply the firm's audit approachCreate, track, and adhere to budgets for assigned engagements; address budget variances proactivelyAnalyze potential problem areas and anticipate client questionsReview financial statements and other client deliverablesSupervise senior and staff accountants, providing direction and trainingContribute to staff performance evaluations and periodic reviewsParticipate in business development effortsQualificationsMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related fieldAt least five years of public accounting experience, specializing in auditing state and local governmentsActive CPA licensePreferred Qualifications:Effective team leader and team playerStrong prioritization and deadline management skillsThorough understanding of U.S. GAAP and GASB standardsExperience with GAGAS/Yellow Book, GAAS, and Uniform GuidanceResponsive to training and feedbackAbility to supervise and train staff effectivelyExperience with audits of not-for-profit organizationsWorking ConditionsHybrid work environment with flexibility to work from home, office, or client sites as neededSame day travel to client offices, meetings, and seminars as requiredOccasional out-of-town travel with overnight stays for client engagementsOvertime work may be necessary, especially from August to FebruaryFirst Name(Required)Last Name(Required)Email(Required)PhoneResumeResume(Required)Max. file size: 100 MB.MessageDo you agree to receive text messages from Gables Search Group sent from View phone number on click.appcast.io & View phone number on click.appcast.io?
