Description

American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer with a minimum of 2 years of experience and required pediatric echo proficiency for a travel assignment at a Level I Trauma Teaching Hospital.

Details

• Short-term acute care hospital setting within a Level I Trauma, Magnet-designated teaching facility with 268 staffed beds
• Pediatric echo unit utilizing an extensive pediatric protocol covering all anatomical views including Subxiphoid, Parasternal, Suprasternal, Right Parasternal, and Apical views
• Charting is performed in Cerner
• Schedule is 4x10-hour day shifts, Monday through Thursday, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• Weekend coverage required on an as-needed basis
• On-call required: call schedule runs Monday night (5:30 PM) through Friday morning (7:00 AM)
• No floating required
• Free parking available on-site

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer
• Significant pediatric echo experience required — equivalent to at least 1 year of full-time pediatric work averaging 20 echoes per week, or 4–5 years part-time averaging 4–5 echoes per week using a full pediatric protocol
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• ARRT certification required
• License required if applicable
• Experience with Cerner preferred
