Assistant Service Manager The Assistant Service Manager is a front‑line associate who acts as a liaison between the customer and the technician. The assistant assists the customer with vehicle care, writes the repair order, facilitates the service process, and walks the vehicle through each step. Schedule 4‑week rotating schedule. For three weeks: 4 days each week, 10 hours per day. For one week: 3 days of 10 hours each day and one day of 9 hours. Schedule repeats every four weeks. Benefits of Schedule 3 days off per week. Fewer workdays means fewer commutes. Predictable schedule. Position is 100% on‑site. Essential Duties Spends a minimum of 60% of daily work communicating maintenance and repair needs and writing repair orders. Promotes service sales through communication of identified maintenance and repair needs. Inspects finished repair orders for completion, pricing accuracy and legibility. Collects total retail charges from guests in cash, check or authorized charge account; makes change and issues receipts. Closes and finalizes all repair orders with received funds, reconciling the cash drawer daily. Remains posted on the shop’s workload to determine quick work accommodations. Stays informed of new products, features and benefits to guests. Base hourly rate of $16.90 plus commission (no upper limit). Commission can range from $0.00 if baseline benchmarks are not met. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent desired. At least 3–5 years of automotive industry experience in repair, customer service, and sales. Valid driver’s license with a good driving record. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Strong time management and problem‑solving abilities. Self‑motivated, capable of working independently or as part of a team. Strong verbal and written communication and attention to detail. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work effectively under pressure. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. Physical Demands Stand, walk, use hands, fingers, and arms frequently. Occasionally sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Lift and/or move objects up to 15 pounds regularly.
