Application Instructions Complete our online application to be considered for an open job role at our Arkansas location. Position Description The Material Handler roles play a key part in the overall production operation. The primary duties include operating forklifts, trailer loading equipment, overhead cranes, grinding and various other equipment to lift and move raw materials or finished products. Position Requirements ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Ability to work approximately 45 to 55 hours per week.
- Ability to receive feedback and learn from others.
- Able to locate material by size and heat number.
- Determine load weights and check them against lifting capacities to prevent overload.
- Operate cranes, electromagnets, or other moving equipment for lifting, moving, and placing loads.
- Uses proper selection of chains, straps to match the load to be lifted.
- Inspect cables and grappling devices for wear, before using.
- Inspect and adjust crane mechanisms and lifting accessories to prevent malfunctions and damage.
- Direct helpers engaged in placing blocking and outrigging under cranes.
- Load and unload steel from conveyors and machinery to appropriate areas, using moving equipment.
- Review daily work and delivery schedules to determine orders, sequences of deliveries, and special loading instructions.
- Assists in housekeeping in the work area
- Help in layout during downtime.

- Material Handling experience preferred.
- Previous forklift certification preferred.
- Follows all safety requirements
- Vision (Near, Distance, Peripheral, Depth Perception)
- If it is required on your state driver's license that corrective lenses are required for driving, we would require you to also use those while operating a fork lift.
- Sense of Touch
- Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (Steel toed shoes, metatarsal guards, hearing protection, and safety glasses)
- Able to work outside in extreme weather conditions
- Able to work in an environment that has paint and thinner fumes
- Not allergic to paints and chemicals
- Able to work in an environment that has some welding fumes
