Activity Director | Skilled Nursing Facility | Long Term Care Everstead Health & Rehabilitation Center Russellville, Alabama Full-Time Everstead Health & Rehabilitation Center is seeking an experienced, energetic, and compassionate Activity Director to lead our resident engagement program within our skilled nursing and long term care community. The Activity Director is responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing activities that enhance the physical, emotional, social, and cognitive well-being of our residents. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about senior care, resident engagement, therapeutic recreation, and creating meaningful experiences for residents in a nursing home and rehabilitation setting. What You’ll Do Plan, organize, and direct a comprehensive activities program for residents in our skilled nursing and rehabilitation center Create engaging recreational, educational, social, spiritual, and therapeutic activities Develop monthly activity calendars that promote resident participation and quality of life Coordinate special events, holiday celebrations, entertainment, and community involvement opportunities Assess resident interests and abilities to provide individualized activity programming Encourage participation among long term care and short-term rehabilitation residents Maintain required documentation and activity records in accordance with state and federal regulations Collaborate with nursing, therapy, dietary, social services, and other interdisciplinary team members Recruit, train, and coordinate volunteers when appropriate Foster a warm, engaging, and resident-centered environment throughout the facility Qualifications Previous experience as an Activity Director, Activities Coordinator, Recreation Director, or Activities Assistant preferred Experience in a skilled nursing facility, nursing home, rehabilitation center, senior living community, assisted living, or healthcare setting preferred Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills Ability to lead group activities and build positive relationships with residents and families Creative, energetic, and compassionate personality Knowledge of long term care regulations related to activities preferred Benefits Competitive Pay Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Company-Paid Life Insurance Paid Time Off 401(k) with Company Match Employee Assistance Program Professional Growth Opportunities Supportive Leadership Team Stable and Growing Healthcare Organization Why Everstead Health & Rehabilitation Center?
