Transportation EIT/Designer

About the Role As part of HDR's Transportation Business Group, you will help shape systems that move people and goods safely, efficiently, and sustainably. Your work will support economic vitality, public safety, and quality of life through designing highways, bridges, transit, rail, and aviation projects. Responsibilities Work with other project engineers on detailed design of urban and rural transportation projects. Take responsibility for plan development of mobility and safety projects, including transportation management plans, traffic signals, and signing and delineation. Assist with creation and submission of technical reports, quantities and cost estimates, specifications, and calculations. Assist with other transportation projects and groups as needed. Perform other duties as required. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field. EIT certification or ability to obtain within 12 months. Candidates hired without EIT will be titled "Transportation Designer" and expected to obtain EIT for career progression. Ability to develop designs using MicroStation, GEOPAK, or other transportation design software packages. Proficiency with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD. Familiarity and demonstrated experience with high roads and roads engineering software such as Open Roads Designer. MS Office experience. Preference given to local candidates. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering or similar field. Attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture. #J-18808-Ljbffr HDR, Inc.
