You will have the opportunity to polish components to support pump, valve, and PHE products that require 3A surface finish standards, contributing to the overall success and growth of our organization. Currently this is an on site day shift (6am – 2:30pm, overtime as needed) position at our Indianapolis, IN facility.As a part of the team, you will:Polish sub components and/or execute the material processing within the facility composed of a limited number of pieces that require basic levels of product and process knowledge.Perform process setups and value add activities utilizing defined operating parameters, following all documentation to complete daily production demand within assigned team.Continuously build job knowledge through execution of Standard Operating Procedures.Develop the department in accordance with the Alfa Laval Production System participating in team performance and improvement meetings.Observe all company policies.Always execute quality checks and inspections when the work is completed.Lift raw materials, finished products, and packed items, manually or using lifts.Other tasks may be assigned.What You KnowYou have high school diploma or GED andExperience in a production or warehouse environmentExperience using power toolsCrane & Forklift certifications preferredPrevious experience in polishing preferredUse and care of basic production or assembly hand toolsAbility to read drawings, blueprints, manufacturing orders, etc.Basic computer skillsAbility to lift up to 60 poundsCritical thinking and problem-solvingAttention to detail and accuracyStrong interpersonal and collaboration skillsStrong leadership and communication skillsAt Alfa Laval, we pride ourselves on creating an inclusive and dynamic workplace that values diverse perspectives and experiences.
