Key Responsibilities of the Registered Nurse - Behavioral Health

• Obtain and record initial assessment and establish priorities based on patient age, symptoms, and needs
• Re-assess patients systematically to identify progress and interventions
• Develop and implement a measurable, individualized plan of care
• Make comprehensive nursing decisions based on interpretation of facts and patient outcomes
• Participate in health education and discharge planning
• Implement and document timely interventions
• Evaluate the plan of care
• Perform various Point of Care testing procedures

Requirements of the Registered Nurse - Behavioral Health

• Graduate of an accredited program for Registered Nursing
• Current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license
• BLS Certification required
• CPI certification or equivalent required (Blue Card preferred)
• Current knowledge and skills appropriate to the Behavioral Health patient population
