Outpatient Wound Care Clinical Manager - BSN Required

Responsibilities Proficient in all responsibilities related to Case Management. May provide case management to a group of patients with assessments according to protocols and procedures, clinical competence in procedural skills, treatments, and patient/caregiver education related to wound care management. Organizes and prioritizes clinical responsibilities; provides clinical oversight to clinical staff such as Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) or Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs), Certified Medical Assistants (CMAs), Hyperbaric Oxygen Technicians, etc. Collaborates with other health care providers, key hospital personnel, Wound Care Center Providers, Program Director, and Medical Director regarding clinical and patient needs. Identifies and implements areas of improvement in processes and procedures, while complying with HIPAA, DOH, hospital and Healogics requirements. Engages in staff development, providing in-services as well as individual instruction and orientation. Provides staff recognition through positive reinforcement and constructive feedback. Collaborates with Program Director in coordinating program objectives from a budgetary and financial perspective. If Vein Care services are provided, coordinates vein clinic and assists in providing care after Vein Clinic training. Collaborates with Program Director and Medical Director to achieve Wound Care Center quality indicators. May function as a Documentation Assistant (scribe) in accordance with Healogics and hospital policies. May perform hyperbaric safety director duties after completing required training. Following hyperbaric training, may act as a chamber operator or emergency chamber operator. Performs patient care based on Center staffing needs. Performs other duties as required. Required Education, Experience and Credentials Current RN (Registered Nurse) license – to maintain throughout the duration of employment in the position. Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) minimum required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred. One year experience as an RN required. Two (2) or more years’ experience preferred. Prior supervisory experience preferred. Wound care certification preferred. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Current BLS (Basic Life Support) required. Planning, organization, prioritization and time-management skills. Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills. Ability to work with others in a team environment and to communicate in layman’s terms at all levels of the organization. Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously. Change management and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) preferred. Working knowledge of hospital and web-based databases. Physical Demands Being in a stationary position for extended periods (4 hours or more). Viewing computer screens for extended periods (4 hours or more). Keying on a computer for 4 hours or more. Moving about; close, distance and peripheral vision. Reading, communicating and writing. Lifting/moving items up to 20 pounds; up to 75 pounds with equipment assistance. Pushing/pulling; bending/stooping; reaching/grasping/touching with hands. Traveling distances (car, airplane, etc.). Work Environment Normal office environment; primarily indoors; patient care environment. Exposure to hazards (blood-borne pathogens, toxic chemicals, flammable/explosive gases, etc.). Exposure to mechanical equipment; proximity to moving objects. This position’s salary generally ranges between $78,900.00 – $106,300.00 annually. This range is an estimate based on qualifications, education, experience, geography, and other considerations permitted by law.
