About the Role:

J&E Truck Service And Repair Inc is looking for a skilled Truck & Trailer Mechanic to join our team in French Camp, CA! This is a hands-on opportunity to work on a wide variety of heavy-duty trucks and trailers in a fast-paced, rewarding shop environment. If you take pride in your craft and love keeping big rigs road-ready, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

Diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy-duty trucks and trailers
Perform preventive maintenance including oil changes, brake inspections, and fluid checks
Inspect and repair trailer components including landing gear, kingpins, and lighting systems
Troubleshoot diesel engine, transmission, and drivetrain issues
Conduct DOT inspections and ensure vehicles meet federal and state compliance standards
Repair and replace suspension, steering, and brake systems
Document all service and repair work accurately and efficiently

Requirements:

Proven experience as a diesel truck and/or trailer mechanic
Strong knowledge of heavy-duty truck systems including engines, brakes, and electrical
Ability to diagnose mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment
Familiarity with DOT regulations and inspection procedures
Must supply own basic hand tools
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
