Part-Time (PT) Testing Services Proctor

Please Note: Current Ivy Tech students are not eligible for this role. Job Overview Administer a variety of academic, placement, pre‑employment, and skills assessments to corporate individuals and certification exams to qualified candidates. Proctor tests at Lake County Campus sites (Crown Point, East Chicago, Gary) and other external contracted locations. Responsibilities Provide certification, assessment, and distance‑education exam administration according to established proctor policies and procedures. Conduct remote test proctoring as needed via a secure internet connection. Complete all required high‑stakes exam proctor training and stay current with exam protocol changes. Provide limited hardware and software troubleshooting, including contacting testing company technical support when problems arise. Maintain accurate records of all assessment services and supply information to appropriate college offices in a timely manner. Adjust testing procedures for individuals with documented special needs prior to testing sessions. Assist with scheduling center activities and respond to customer queries. Promote a professional manner and appearance at all times. Assist in keeping the assessment and certification centers organized, clean, supplied, and well maintained on campus. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Associate’s degree or ½ year of relevant work experience. Minimum 21 years of age. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks. 1–2 years of excellent communication and customer service experience. Proficient in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new software. Ability to promote an inclusive environment that respects and values diverse backgrounds. Travel may be required at times. Hours & Compensation Hours per week: Varies up to 28 hours based on testing needs, normally 8AM‑5PM, Monday‑Friday (some tests may be administered outside normal hours or on weekends). Compensation: $15/hour.
