Job Description

We are seeking experienced Heavy Equipment Operators to support ongoing construction and site development projects across the region. Operators will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a variety of heavy machinery to perform excavation, grading, and material handling tasks.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate heavy machinery including excavators, dozers, loaders, and backhoes.
• Perform excavation, grading, and material handling tasks.
• Read grade stakes, plans, or operate machinery with GPS systems.
• Maintain a strong focus on safety and efficiency.
• Ensure proper maintenance of equipment.
• Participate in site development, roadwork, utilities, or earthmoving projects.

Essential Skills

• 7+ years of experience operating heavy equipment in a construction or sitework environment.
• Experience with excavators, dozers, loaders, and backhoes.
• Ability to read grade stakes, plans, or operate with GPS systems.
• Strong focus on safety, efficiency, and maintaining equipment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Reliable transportation to job sites.
• Strong work ethic and team-oriented attitude.
• OSHA 10 or safety certifications are a plus.
• Experience with GPS/grade control systems preferred.

This is a Contract position based out of Buckhannon, WV.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Buckhannon,WV.
