Simply Beautiful Smiles and Affiliates state-of-the-art dental practice in College Park, MD is searching for a skilled and experienced Dental Hygienist to join our professional team. The ideal candidate for this position is an enthusiastic, self- motivated dental hygienist who would enjoy being an integral part of an expanding patient-centered practice. We excel with consistent excellence in the new/existing patient experience. Knowing that the oral cavity influences the overall health of our patients, the oral-systemic connection is our core principle for treatment planning. How You Will Have an Impact at SBS as a Hygienist

• Provide clinical oral hygiene services including dental prophylaxis, periodontal scaling, sealant application and fluoride application consistent with accepted professional practices and standards.
• Intraoral video tours
• Complete a thorough assessment of the patient's teeth, bone, and periodontal tissues, and document any abnormalities or suspected conditions
• Customize care to meet patient's oral health
• Educate patients on good oral hygiene techniques
• Aid the dentist with procedures and emergencies as needed
• Maintain patient confidentiality
• Provide all care in conjunction with accepted professional dental practices and standards

Skills Knowledge and Expertise

• Provide all care in conjunction with accepted professional dental practices and standards
• Graduate of an accredited school of dental hygiene
• Registered Dental Hygienist licensure in state of practice ( if necessary)
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Proven dedication to provide high quality, comprehensive dental care
• Ability to comply with safety procedures, rules, and regulations in order to maintain a clean and safe working environment
• Strong working knowledge of dental terminology, equipment, and practices
