About the Role As a Building Engineer I, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, sanitation, and orderly condition of our school facilities. Your key duties will include: Performing housekeeping tasks such as sweeping, dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and trash removal in classrooms, hallways, offices, and other areas Assisting with grounds keeping duties like litter pickup, snow/debris removal, and general landscaping Completing work order projects as assigned Moving and rearranging furniture, equipment, and classroom materials as needed Providing support for audiovisual, classroom, and other school equipment Inspecting for pests and reporting issues to the Head Building Engineer Following written and oral instructions, staying alert to emergencies, and adhering to safety standards Qualifications Experience in custodial and maintenance work is preferred Ability to read, write, and comprehend written and oral instructions Valid driver's license in the state of Kansas Demonstrated willingness to work hard and accept training Why Work at Goddard USD 265?
