What You'll Do

• Provide patient care for critically ill adult patients, including those with DKA, respiratory failure, MIs, CABGs, and ventilator management in a mixed cardiac and medical ICU setting
• Administer medications, treatments, and monitor for side effects and effectiveness
• Assess patient condition, document history, symptoms, care provided, and medication administration
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and adjust care plans
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, and post-discharge care
• Demonstrate independent practice within the scope of critical care nursing

What You Need

• RN license in Louisiana or a valid compact state license
• BLS certification via AHA
• ACLS certification via AHA
• 1+ year of critical care nursing experience (new graduates may be considered)

• Experience with intra-aortic balloon pumps, Impellas, post-op cardiovascular surgeries, CRRT
• Ability to work independently and manage complex patient cases

This role is based at a leading facility in Alexandria, Louisiana. The ICU handles a diverse patient population, providing an excellent environment for experienced critical care nurses seeking a dynamic assignment. No on-call or floating requirements. Every other weekend schedule.

This critical care RN position supports a busy ICU unit managing complex cardiovascular and medical patients. The facility emphasizes patient-centered care, offering ample opportunities for professional growth in a collaborative environment.
