Registered Nurse - CVOR Operating Room (Travel Contract)

• Location: Memphis.
• Duration: 12 Weeks.
• Shift: Days.
• Schedule: 3x12s | 36 Hours/Week.
• Gross Weekly Pay: $3,240/week
• Start Date: 6/8/26.
• Call Requirement: Yes.
• Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS.
• Minimum Experience Required: 2 Years Recent CVOR Experience Required.

Geaux Care Staffing is seeking an experienced and highly skilled CVOR Registered Nurse for a travel contract assignment in Memphis, Tennessee. This opportunity is ideal for a cardiovascular operating room nurse who thrives in a fast-paced surgical environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care during complex cardiovascular procedures.

The CVOR RN will work closely with cardiovascular surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, and perioperative staff to ensure safe and efficient surgical care for patients undergoing cardiac and vascular procedures. The ideal candidate will be confident in the operating room setting and experienced in circulating cardiovascular surgeries.

Responsibilities include preparing and maintaining the sterile operating environment, patient assessment and monitoring, circulating during surgical procedures, documenting intraoperative care, ensuring compliance with infection prevention standards, and responding quickly to changes in patient condition throughout the surgical process.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, adaptable, and able to maintain composure in high-acuity situations while prioritizing patient safety and teamwork.

Requirements:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current ACLS certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent CVOR or Operating Room nursing experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of cardiovascular surgical procedures and perioperative patient care.
• Excellent communication and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a high-acuity surgical environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous travel nursing experience preferred.
• Experience with open heart procedures preferred.
• Experience with EMR systems such as Epic or Cerner preferred.
• CNOR certification preferred (if applicable).
