Senior Clinical Laboratory Technologist Department: Developmental Services – Porterville Developmental Center Classification Number: JC-515270 Salary: $6,058.00 – $7,968.00 per Month Job Description and Duties Performs laboratory testing on specimens submitted to the Clinical Laboratory. Is competent, experienced, and has working knowledge of all areas of the Clinical Laboratory (Hematology, Chemistry, Bacteriology, Serology, etc.). Reports abnormal/critical values as per policy. Working Conditions Physical Demands: Must possess and maintain sufficient strength (lift up to 50 lbs. when team‑lifting clients), agility, endurance, and sensory ability to perform duties. Typical Working Conditions: Ongoing interaction and contact with clients, nursing staff, other disciplines, and the general public. Potential exposure to communicable diseases, blood‑borne pathogens, and other conditions common to a clinical nursing environment. May require sitting or standing for prolonged periods of time. Minimum Requirements Senior Clinical Laboratory Technologist classification. Clinical Laboratory Technologist classification. Special Requirements Drug screening must be passed prior to being hired. Background investigation must be cleared prior to being hired. Medical clearance prior to being hired.
