Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Physical Therapy Assistant Discipline: Therapy Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks Hours: 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Travel A SNF / LTC is looking for an experienced or newly graduated Physical Therapy Assistant to join their growing team for a contract assignment. The Physical Therapist Assistant works under the supervision of either Registered or Licensed Physical Therapists. The PTA will use physical treatment procedures to help improve mobility and relieve pain and disability caused by disease or injury. Some techniques include massages, electrical stimulation, paraffin baths, hot and cold packs, traction, ultrasound, and other assigned exercises. Requirements Must have earned an associate's degree from an accredited school. Current state license as a Physical Therapist Assistant or proactively in the process of the application process for licensure. Current CPR certification. Provide skilled physical therapy services/interventions in accordance with physician orders and under the supervision of a Registered or Licensed Physical Therapist. Implement and modify the patient’s physical therapy plan of treatment under supervision of a Registered or Licensed Physical Therapist. Effectively collaborates within an interdisciplinary team to meet patient goals.
