Prepares and stocks the OR before and after surgery. Gathers clean and sterile supplies. Sets sterile instrument fields. Maintains and monitors aseptic techniques. Assists with the orientation of new staff. And participates on departmental committees. Required to float between the Orange and Irvine locations as needed. Candidates with less than 2 years of experience may be considered for hire as a Surgical Tech (8931) with a pay range of $32.01-$39.78.What It Takes to be SuccessfulRequired Qualifications: Two years of demonstrated surgical technologist experience in multiple specialties in an acute care facility Successful completion of an accredited course in surgical technology BLS Required Ability to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English, and understanding of medical terminology Preferred Qualifications:Scrub Technician CertificationLicenses and Certifications: Basic Life SupportEducation: Total Rewards We offer a wealth of benefits to make working at UCI even more rewarding.
