Education Required – Graduate from an accredited Licensed Vocational Nursing Program or Licensed Practitioner Nursing Program. Must hold a current LVN or LPN license in the state of residence. Compact license preferred. Experience Required – Two (2) years of nursing experience. Both pediatric and adult nursing experience preferred. Required IC Courses ICS 100b – Introduction to Incident Command Systems ICS 200b – ICA for single resources and Initial Action Incidents ICS 700a – National Incident Management Systems (NIMS) and Introduction ICS 800b – National Response Framework, An Introduction ICS 300 – Intermediate IC for Expanding Incidents (must be completed upon hire) ICS 400 – Advanced IC Command and General Staff – Complex Incidents (must be completed upon hire). May be waived upon hire, however required to be completed within 3 months of hire or will be terminated due to noncompliance. Responsibilities and Duties Understand and adhere to the National EMR Policies and Procedures Manual, Uniform Handbook, and Operations Manual. Foster a culture that encourages team members to work safely, identify potential hazards, and report safety concerns immediately to their direct chain of command. Maintain active status within the agency’s platforms, including learning management systems to complete training that may be directed toward self‑improvement, mission‑specifics, or Just‑In‑Time (JIT) training. Complete all nursing duties and provide all health care services relevant to this position in compliance with all regulatory authorities, and program protocols, procedures and supervisory instructions including, but not limited to, active and ongoing nursing assessments, charting, scheduling of appointments, routine observations, isolation observations, wellness checks, immunizations, all required documentation and reporting. Effectively communicate, consult and interact with the Clinic Group Supervisor or Clinic Manager or Registered Nurse Manager on protocol and procedure issues affecting the quality of health care services on campus and issues of contagious disease control when any client on site is ill with contagious disease and communicate effectively with health care providers regarding care for service population and advocate for the needs of the service population. Maintain all written and electronic medical health care records. Communicate with service population and staff in a manner that prioritizes confidentiality of health care records and information in keeping with HIPAA, Protected Health Information (PHI) requirements and NEMR confidentiality protocol and procedures. Complete accurate documentation of nursing activities performed in accordance with agency policies and procedures and contract and regulatory requirements and standards and program timeline requirements. Collaborate with and apply recommendations of the physician provider, the advanced practice provider (APP) and Registered Nurse Clinic Group Supervisor or Clinic Manager regarding best practices and NEMR Medical protocols and procedures. Other duties as assigned. Requirements Adhere to acceptable standards of professional integrity and accountability in the workplace, and comply with all federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations in all duties. Provide proof of valid driver’s license and driving record in good standing with no restrictions (subject to review annually). Demonstrate the ability to: Respond sensitively and competently to the service population’s cultural and socio‑economic characteristics. Work collaboratively with other staff members, service providers, professionals, and clients. Maintain professional people skills and non‑verbal communication skills. Communicate effectively, verbally and in written form, in English. Work in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining control and professional composure and making decisions based on the needs of the program and service population. Maintain intermediate to advanced computer literacy (specifically Microsoft Suite). Be detail oriented and organized. Work effectively and without intensive supervision both independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team. Utilize a variety of communication systems to provide situational awareness across the response (cellular, two‑way radio, satellite, etc.). Perform physical activity such as extensive walking, stretching, bending, and occasionally lifting and/or exceeding 50 lbs. Work extended hours and/or non‑traditional hours (Ex. Weekends, evenings, holidays, in austere conditions). Must provide current physical‑medical release and provide proof of immunizations, exemptions, or declinations for the following: Influenza, MMR, Varicella, HepB, HepA, Tetanus, PPD, IGRA, or Chest X‑ray. Meningococcal (preferred). Must successfully pass a scheduled or spontaneous drug screening/background check.
