Banquet Server

Responsibilities Complete all tasks related to the set‑up, service, and breakdown of banquet events. Attend pre‑shift meetings to learn event details, including property and guest expectations. Collect and transport all supplies needed for event set‑up, including china, glass, silver, linen, tables, chairs, décor, and props. Set‑up and break down tables, chairs, buffets, linen, and props as specified by the Banquet Event Order. Respond to and fulfill special event arrangements and guest service needs according to 1 Hotels standards. Stock and maintain linen, china, silver, glassware, and service supplies in good condition. Maintain cleanliness and organization of banquet function space, performing vacuuming, sweeping, dusting, polishing, and mopping as required. Retrieve, store, and retrieve event materials, décor, props, crates, and boxes, ensuring secure storage and proper handling. Maintain all event equipment, chairs, tables, podiums, and other assets, and report all breakage incidents. Return service carts and other equipment to proper locations after use. Perform post‑event cleaning tasks and breakdown of service, ensuring the event room is clean and neat before departure. Assist with room turns and set‑up for subsequent events. Input real‑time work orders via KYC for any guest concerns or opportunities. Identify opportunities to optimize performance, encourage innovation, and drive necessary change. Establish and maintain open, positive, collaborative, and professional relationships with guests, colleagues, and leadership. Follow all company safety and security policies, report hazards or incidents, and complete required safety training and certifications. Qualifications & Skills Prior serving experience. Organized, proficient at multitasking, and a reliable team player willing to learn and adapt. Strong communication and customer service skills. Able to lift at least 50 lbs. Proficient in verbal and written English communication. Able to stand for long periods of time. Food handling certification (obtainable during employment).
