Clinical Interviewing- Yes

On Call, Call Back Requirements: No

Weekend Rotation: Every third weekend ,

Holiday Requirements: Yes every other holiday rotation

Floating Requirements : Yes- like medsurg units

• 101 Licensed beds
• Level IV Trauma Center
• Primary Stroke Center

• Beds: 10

• High Acuity patients, Cardiac Step Down (no step down at this facility), post procedure cardiac patients, PD, secondary stroke unit, CHF, ENSRD, telemetry required, read and interpret cardiac rhythm strips independently, general MS

• RN: Days – 1:4-5; Nights 1:5
• Typically 3 RNs per shift; 2 Night shift
• Tech: Days – 1:5; Nights 1:5-10; 2 CNAs

• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS

• Read/interpret strips, Cardiac drips (Amiodarone, Cardizem), Pull Sheaths( perm staff), monitor site sheath site, Pre/Post Cardiac Cath experience( femoral/radial) , chest tube. Non titrating nitro, non titrating dobutamine (ICU if titrated), post pacemaker

• Charge nurse: take patient assignment
• Phlebotomy: Shared responsibility with RN for blood draws
• RT, 24/7
• Hospitalist, 24/7
• OT, PT, ST
• IV Team- Monday, Wednesday, Friday day shift only

• EPIC- REQUIRED
• Alaris
• Pyxis

• In rotation to other MS areas

• 1-2 shift to learn flow

• Weekend rotation: every 3rd (default)
• Can we approve time off: Ask permission from Manager
• Will they be on call: If so, what is that schedule: No, low census in 4 hour increments (mainly nights)
• Holiday Expectations: 1 summer, 1 winter (flexibility)- Christmas Eve/Day or New Years Eve/Day

• Scrub Color: Any color, must be professional
• Parking: Free, onsite and secure
